Fender Panel – Marine Panel for Rubber Fender Systems
Marine Panel for Rubber Fender Systems
Introduction
The fender panel is an essential component of a marine fender system, designed to match each type and size of rubber fender. With a wide variety of dimensions and shapes, fender panels ensure safe and effective berthing, meeting all engineering requirements of port design.
This component not only absorbs direct impact from vessels but also transfers the load to the quay structure, ensuring stability and durability of the entire fender system throughout its service life.
Compatible with:
-
NT CSS Marine Fender – Cell Fenders
-
NT SPC Marine Fender – Cone Fenders
-
NT PPi Marine Fender – Arch / Pi-Type Fenders
-
NT UPi Marine Fender – Arch / Pi-Type Fenders
Technical Features of Fender Panel
Fender panels are manufactured from high-quality materials to guarantee strength, durability, and corrosion resistance in harsh marine environments.
-
Panel body: High-strength structural steels such as SS400, A36, S235, S355, Q235, Q345, SM490, designed according to load and system requirements.
-
Bolts & fasteners: Made of stainless steel SUS304 or SUS316, ensuring long-term corrosion resistance.
-
Anchor bolts inside the panel: SUS304 or SUS316 for enhanced strength and reliability.
-
Protective coating: Surface treated and coated to ISO 12944 C5-M or TCVN 12705-5:2019, protecting against corrosion, seawater, and marine fouling.
-
Panel surface: Equipped with UHMWPE or HDPE pads, reducing friction and preventing vessel hull damage during berthing.
With optimized design and premium materials, fender panels deliver long-lasting performance, high energy absorption, and safe operations under various port conditions.
Installation of Fender Panels
-
Easy installation using anchor bolts (either embedded during concrete casting or fixed later with chemical anchors or sika).
-
Positioning bolts supported with frames/jigs to ensure precise alignment and compliance with port safety standards.
-
Installation supported by cranes, barges, and standard marine construction equipment.
Quality Assurance
-
Manufactured and tested to international marine standards: PIANC, BV, SGS, and independent organizations such as TT3 (Quartest 3 – Vietnam).
-
Service life: 20–30 years, depending on operating conditions.
-
Warranty: 3–5 years, depending on project requirements.
-
Guaranteed performance in terms of energy absorption and reaction force throughout its lifetime.
